Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology



Eligibility Criteria:

Good academic record at I.Sc. /10+2 (Science discipline) or an equivalent exam from a university, board or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University. The candidate should have passed with a minimum of Second division and should have performed well in the entrance test of the University and college as well as the interview conducted by the college.


Course Structure:

- Computer Science core courses:                           75 Credit Hours

- Natural Science elective courses:                          6 Credit Hours

- Mathematics course:                                          12 Credit Hours

- English course:                                                  3 Credit Hours

- Social Science and Management course:                6 Credit Hours

- Computer Science elective course:                        9 Credit Hours

                                          Total:                  26 Credit Hours

Case Studies and Field Visits

The department of computer science has been regularly conducting case studies, seminars and field visits to make the students aware of the real world scenarios of computer science. The students are sent to various Software Houses, IT vendors, Banking Institutions, ISPs, Telecoms and Ministries of Nepal Government.

1. IT 3rd Semester: Case Study on Operating systems.

2. IT 4th Semester: Case study on System Analysis and Design, Database Management Systems

3. IT 5th Semester: Case Study on E-Governance, Computer Networks

4. IT 6th semester: Case study on E-commerce, Software Engineering

5. IT 7th Semester: Final Year Project

6. IT 8th Semester: Internship Project
